Our custom process is the culmination of generations of jewellery creation and curation.
After being gifted an emerald for her 21st birthday, Angelique, By Baby’s Founder and Creative Director, designed the Nico. From then on, the Nico Ring has evolved and remained a staple of every collection since. Many silhouettes have followed in Nico’s footsteps, ensuring their place as Signature By Baby Silhouettes.
By Baby Bespoke combines a Signature Silhouette with a one-of-a-kind gemstone.
We offer slight customisations of our Signature Silhouettes, as well as other known classic silhouettes, as a part of our custom service.
At this time, we are not offering custom designs that exist outside of our collection.

YOUR APPOINTMENT
During your appointment, you will be able to peruse our One Off collection, try on signature silhouettes, determine your ring size, and discuss your custom piece.
We will be able to discuss your desired budget, silhouette, gemstone, and timeframe in your appointment.
You are welcome to ask us any questions at your appointment, and know you can reach out to us at any time during your custom journey.
Sourcing your unique, unrepeatable gemstone can take time, typically 1-3 weeks. We will be sure to be in contact with you as soon as we have a collection of gemstones for you to view, and choose from.
Appointments can take place at our James St Studio, or virtually.

Our passion for unique, unrepeatable gemstones is highlighted in every custom wonder.
Natural diamonds and lab diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, tourmalines, morganites, and rubies are some of our favourites.
If you have a dream gemstone in mind we will help you find it, but if not we can start from scratch and find something you love.
Our gemstones are sourced through reputable and trusted gemstone suppliers. We do not work with gemstones that have been sourced outside of our team. We also do not work with imitation or synthetic gemstones.
Lab Diamonds & Natural Diamonds
We love working with lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds, and are always available to discuss which option works best for you. Our Lab Grown & Natural Diamond Journal has heaps of info about key differences and similarities of the stones.
CUT, COLOUR, CLARITY
THE GEMSTONE CONT.
Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat
Gemstones are naturally unique, and that’s what we love about them.
The 4C’s are an important part of selecting your gemstone, however, they are not one-size-fits-all!
All gemstones should be graded within their own potential.
What we mean by this is that the traditional 4C’s of a diamond are not going to apply the same to an emerald or sapphire, due to their unique qualities and compositions.
Discussing and selecting each part of the 4C’s is something we will be able to help you determine in-store after viewing a selection of gemstones.

THE FINAL DETAILS
Time Frame
Our custom production time is 6-8 weeks from the date of deposit. This is always dependent on the style of the piece, but we will let you know if any extra time is required. Please note timeframes will be longer in holidays and busy periods, we will always keep you informed of the timeframe.
If you are working within a certain timeframe let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Budget
We require a 40% deposit to begin production of your piece, and the remaining balance is due on completion of the piece.
Our custom rings start from $3,500.
